I am an experienced radio and television broadcaster, having both written and designed programmes, and appeared as an interviewee.  My aim to be lucid, approachable, and engaging on screen and radio holds true as well for my writing and public speaking, whether for opera companies, festivals, or recordings.

BBC TV appearances include: Rule Britannia: Music, Mischief and Morals in the 18th Century (BBC4, 2014), Opera's Fallen Women (BBC4, 2011), The Symphony (BBC4, 2011), Opera Italia 1: Beginnings (BBC4 & BBC2, 2010), The Birth Of British Music – George Frideric Handel (BBC2, 2009)

BBC Radio 3 interviews and features include: Handel Blogger for Radio 3's Composer of the Year site in 2009,  Launching Radio 3's Handel opera cycle in 2009, Ten Handel “calling cards” broadcast on Radio 3 throughout EBU (European Broadcasting Union) Handel Day on 19 April 2009,  Radio 3’s ‘The Essay’ on 19 April, 2009,  Composer of the Week, Handel, 2010,  Interval talk on the ENO’s Radamisto for Opera on 3 (20 November 2010), Interval broadcast ‘From Neptune to Nixon’ (2012).

Public lectures include: Glyndebourne on Handel (2015) and Mozart (Glyndebourne Touring Company, 2014), the Royal Opera House on Gluck (2015), Handel House Museum: Stanley Sadie Lecture (2017).
